Things to do in Tagaytay City

Tagaytay City, Cavite, Tara...Let's go...

If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of Metro Manila and want a cool breeze of fresh air like in Baguio City, then it's time to go to Tagaytay City, Cavite. It is approximately 51 kilometers (31.7 miles) from Metro Manila or less than 2 hours of travel. It is a place where you can do outdoor and other recreational activities from horseback riding to zipline and cable car ride at Picnic Grove, have a 360 degree view of the entire province of Cavite from atop Palace in the Sky, take a look at the small but active Taal Volcano not to mention boat riding at Taal Lake and fun amusement rides at Sky Ranch. And you wont go hungry because there's a lot of restaurants lined up along Tagaytay-Nasugbu highway. Also include Pink Sisters Convent, Paradizoo and Puzzle Mansion as other points of interest when you're in Tagaytay.

Cebu City Travel Guide

Cebu City and Mactan Island Travel Guide, Tara...Let's go...

We traveled to Cebu City way back October 2012, it was more than 3 years now but let me share our amazing moments in the Queen City of the South. We flew to this city via Zest Air (now they're called Air Asia) on a mid morning flight and arrived before noon. We rode a yellow airport cab that took us to Tune Hotel (new name is Red Planet) which is in the heart of the city. After checking in, we had our lunch at the nearby Ayala Center. Our itineraries for the day include a stopover at Magellan's Cross, a visit to the Basilica Minore del Sto Nino, Fort San Pedro and  the Crowne Regency Hotel to try one of their Sky Experience Adventure tour.

Do you want to go to the beach that is only 1-2 hrs away from Manila? Affordable but offers services at par with the best beaches in the Philippines. A beach that has a breathtaking view of the ocean and with limestone cliffs just like in Palawan. Look no further coz there's one in Ternate, Cavite called Katungkulan Beach Resort or Little Boracay some people say. Located inside General Gregorio Lim Marine Base in Ternate, Cavite. This beach resort is open to the public and is also run and secured by the marines. From the main gate of the base, it is approximately 10-15 minutes of uphill, downhill and zigzag road, a roller coaster ride, but no worries, the roads are paved and with road signs. You can briefly stop to take pictures of  the scenic view of the ocean since you're in Mount Palay Palay National Park. By the way,  entrance fee is Php100.00 and parking fee of Php10.00 for motorcycles to be paid at the main gate of the base. I forgot to ask the parking fee for 4 wheeled vehicles but I guess it's only minimal.  Before you splash into the waters of Katungkulan Beach, take time to go to the view deck that has an amazing view of Corregidor Island and of course the vast ocean. The resort is a first come, first serve basis. There are no reservations, so you better come early so you can choose a nice cottage with a good view. The resort has open and closed cottages. People can also bring tents. There is also a barbecue grill, cooking station and shower rooms. There are also stores inside just in case you forgot to buy something like soap, shampoo and food condiments. So if you want a simple but stunning getaway, near but not overcrowded beach...Tara..Let's go to...Katungkulan Beach Resort!!!

take time to enjoy this beautiful view
