DAY 2 (Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park), Tara...Let's go...
Ray, the owner of Ezy Stay, booked our tour to the Underground River for Php 1340.00/person. Tour package consists of van rental from inn to Sabang Port and vice versa, boat rental, environmental fees and buffet lunch. Our tour operator 3B's travel and tours (048-4341436/ 0919 2404041) with friendly tour guide May picked us up @ 7:00am and from Ezy Stay, we proceeded to other hotels and inns to pick up other guests. We are 13 in the group, 5 Filipinos, 2 British, 1 American, 3 Danish and 2 Canadians, all are very friendly and cheerful.We stopped by the Provincial Capitol to get our permits and took the 2hr drive to Sabang Port. There is 1 stopover during the trip. The road going to Sabang is paved, just be ready for that roller coaster ride because of the ups and downs and the curves. Arrived in Sabang port @ 11AM and since there are many tourists, we have to wait for 1-2 hrs before we can enter the Underground River.
While waiting to enter Underground river, our tour driver asked us if we would like to try the Sabang Zipline which is 800meters long and above the ocean. Me and my wife as first timers enjoyed it a lot. Zipline cost is Php550.00/person for sitting position and Php750.00/person for the Superman position.
We have our buffet lunch after the Zipline and went on to board a motorized banca to the entrance of the Underground river complete with life vests and from there a smaller banca with a tour guide will accompany us inside.

It is a very amazing place. Kudos to the people maintaining the beauty of the Underground River. It was time to leave Sabang Port and back to Puerto Princesa. After the 2hr ride, we asked May to dropped us off to a gift shop so we can catch up with other things to buy like Tshirts, fresh sea water pearls, cashew nuts and dried fish. Total costs of gifts/souvenirs for day 2 is Php1525.00.
We had our dinner @ Lou's Chaolong and have beef stew and garlic bread. Cost Php204.00.
