It was March 2012, when me and my wife decided to go on a vacation to the Ilocos Region. The original plan was just to visit my mother's hometown in Cabugao, Ilocos Sur and the province capital which is Vigan. Until a friend told us about Pagudpud and other nearby towns in Ilocos Norte and the numerous places to explore there. Interestingly, we started to do our research. We googled Ilocos travel guide and came across the travel website of Ambot-ah (www.ambot-ah.com). The detailed Ilocos itinerary of Marcos from ambot-ah blog is very informative having been there several times both as a solo traveler and with a group of travel bloggers. It was from Marcos' ambot-ah blog that we learned about backpacking and do it yourself travel, so we searched Ilocos backpacking and do it yourself tour and reached the websites of Gael's www.thepinaysolobackpacker.com. and Merv's www.pinoyadventurista.com. We were ecstatic at that point reading about the experiences these solo travelers have gone to and sharing their memorable exploits to the public.

After that trip to the Ilocos Region and reading numerous posts from these bloggers, I was inspired to give travel blogging a shot and to get tips on our next trip, I regularly read Marcos, Gael  and Merv's travel blogs and in addition is Yoshke's and Vins' www.thepoortraveler.com and  www.twomonkeystravelgroup.com of Kach and Jonathan, a traveling couple who will also show you how to make money from travel blogging. These travel experts will show you that traveling is a lifestyle not  just for the rich and famous but also for anyone else who want to explore the Philippines and rest of the world but are having second thoughts. So before you embark on your next travel destination, read and learn from their blogs then plan it right to get  that ultimate travel experience.

Until my next trip, see you on Tara...Let's go...
